To empower individuals to focus on their development by building their character and confidence on and off the field.

Academy Objective

Giving players opportunities to compete and learn in a safe, challenging, and fun environment. The Academy program is part of the Player Pathway providing a developmental step between NEST/Recreational programming and the Select Program.

Academy Philosophy

Players must learn simple skills and execute them well before moving to more complex skills. Players will also learn on different timelines. Despite being a team orientated sport, it is Western Iowa Surf’s developmental philosophy that the focus is on the individual player to take ownership of understanding every position and attacking/defending principles that will benefit team performance.

Little Surfers Pre-Academy U7/8U $400 Annual Fee 24/25

• Indoor & Outdoor training facility fees

• ISA membership fees including background checks
• 2 tournaments/year – Club hosted

Surf Academy U9/10U  $650 Annual Fee 24/25

• Indoor & Outdoor training facility fees
• Training 2x a week Fall & Spring

• NYSL League Fees
• ISA membership fees including background checks
• Surf membership fees
• 2 tournaments/year – (one out of town)
• Coaches travel fees
• Coaching & director fees
• Club administration
• Coach & player insurance
