DESCRIPTION

Western Iowa Surf’s Development Phase is focused on introducing more technical skills and tactical understanding of the game. This phase emphasizes developing a strong foundation of skills and game knowledge.

OVERVIEW

The Development Phase is available for U11-U15 age groups. Western Iowa Surf’s Development Phase focuses on refining technical skills, tactical understanding, and game intelligence. Players are encouraged to build confidence, creativity, and decision-making through structured training and games.

PROGRAM DETAILS

The Development Phase is a full-year commitment. Below is a yearly rhythm that families can expect from year to year. Outdoor training is held at our 23rd Ave Soccer Complex in Council Bluffs. Indoor training is held at our home facility, the Iowa West Sports Plex.

Surf Development Phase U11/U12 – 9v9

Fall & Spring Seasons:

• Training 2x a week
• Tournaments: x4 per year (including 2x out of town)
• NYSL League Fees

Winter Season:

• Winter Training
• Winter League

What else is included?

• Tournament entry fees
• Coach travel fees
• Indoor & outdoor training facility fees
• ISA membership fees including background checks
• Equipment including VEO game recordings
• Coach & director fees
• Club administration
• Playmetrics software subscriptions
• Coach & player insurance
• Exposure to Surf National Team scouts/coaches
• Surf membership fees

Additional Information:

• Uniform fee is not included
• State Cup, President Cup and/or additional tournaments are an add on fee

2025/2026 Annual Fee: $1,150
