WELCOME TO SURF COMPETITIVE PHASE
DESCRIPTION
Western Iowa Surf’s Competitive Phase is focused on developing the complete youth soccer player and helping them achieve their goals, regardless of their soccer pathway.
OVERVIEW
The Competitive Phase is available for U16-U18 Age Groups. The players on these teams are pushed to learn advanced techniques and tactics as well as ambitious goal setting to improve all aspects of their game and individual, personal development. Leagues include the Iowa Soccer League and Nebraska Youth Soccer League. These teams also travel to provide different challenges and opportunities for players. Tournament play is also introduced at the younger ages and showcase events for the older age groups.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The Competitive Phase is a full-year commitment. Below is a yearly rhythm that families can expect from year to year. Outdoor training is held at our 23rd Ave Soccer Complex in Council Bluffs. Indoor Training is held at our home facility, the Iowa West Sports Plex.
Surf Competitive Phase U16-U18 – 11v11
Fall Season:
- Training 2x a week
- Tournaments: x2 per year (2x out of town/ at least 1 college showcase event)
- NYSL League Fees
Winter Season:
- Winter Training
- Winter Leagues

- Uniform fee is not included
